‘Shining examples of noble endeavour’: Ridvan message casts spotlight on advances around the world

The international governing body of the Baha’i Faith, the Universal House of Justice, has released its 2025 Ridvan message, casting a spotlight on the “striking breakthroughs” that are being made across the world as Baha’is and well-wishers of humanity work towards the progress of their communities “through shining examples of noble endeavour”.

The Universal House of Justice remarks, on the eve of the final year before the first phase of the Nine Year Plan concludes, “the vision offered by the Faith is filling more and more hearts with hope.”

The Nine Year Plan relies on a vast, global process of learning that is as effective in the highlands of Bolivia as in the suburbs of Sydney. This process of learning has given rise to strategies and actions adaptable to every setting. It is systematic; it is organic; it is all-embracing. It creates connections, blossoming into dynamic relationships, among families, among neighbours, among youth, and among all who are ready to be protagonists in this glorious undertaking. It raises up communities that brim with potential. It enables the fulfilment of high aspirations shared by people who had been kept apart by geography, language, culture, or conditioning but have now heard and responded to Baha’u’llah’s universal call to “ceaselessly strive for the betterment of the lives of one another”.

The Universal House of Justice

The Nine Year Plan is one of the first in a series of ambitious plans for the worldwide Baha’i community, spanning the next quarter-century, which focuses on “a single aim: the release of the society-building power of the Faith in ever-greater measures.” Each Plan provides a framework for action, empowering the Baha’i community to strengthen its community-building efforts in towns, villages and cities across the globe in a bid to advance the material, spiritual and economic life of society.

Every year the Universal House of Justice releases a message to the Baha’is of the world at Ridvan, the holiest Baha’i festival. To read the message in its entirety, visit the Baha’i Reference Library here
