
Building Community in the Regions



The Baha’i community is spread throughout all regions of Australia. Australian Baha’is come from a wide variety of backgrounds and walks of life, and are united by a shared commitment to translate into reality the teachings of Baha’u’llah, the founder of the Baha’i Faith.
Australian Baha’is are cultivating vibrant communities by developing capacities for service and fostering true friendships with all people, founded on mutual support and cooperation. Across the country, Baha’is are engaged in this community-building process by participating alongside others in grassroots efforts such as study circles, devotional gatherings, junior youth groups, children’s classes, and a range of social action initiatives.
In this collection, we aim to cast a spotlight on the individuals, communities and institutions in regional and rural areas that are contributing to societal development using the Baha’i community-building endeavours as the driving force.
