Upcoming seminars offered by the Institute for Studies in Global Prosperity
Baha’i students and young professionals are presented with the opportunity to contribute to the evolution of thought and practice within their academic and professional fields through seminars offered by the Institute for Studies in Global Prosperity (ISGP).
Tertiary education students, graduates and young professionals face unique challenges and opportunities with many worldviews and theories influencing how they understand human nature, knowledge, progress and the purpose of life.

The seminars offered by ISGP are designed to raise consciousness and build capacity in youth at this stage of life to examine and analyse the worldviews and theories within their fields and offer an alternative perspective that contributes to the evolution of thought and practice in light of the principles of the Baha’i Faith.
There are currently two distinct seminars offered in Australia. The undergraduate seminars are offered to Baha’i youth who have recently completed their year 12 studies and are intending to undertake tertiary studies, as well as those currently within their undergraduate studies.
The content of the undergraduate seminar encompasses five streams: areas of Baha’i activity; fundamental concepts related to knowledge, education, science and religion; the application of these concepts to questions of development, technology, organisations and the relationship between individuals, institutions and communities; culture and communication; and conversations on a range of themes relevant to the lives of young people.
This seminar is offered over 12 days each year over a period of four years. An undergraduate seminar is currently being offered within each region in Australia including Perth, Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne.
The graduate seminars are offered to Baha’i youth who have recently completed their undergraduate degree, recently joined the workforce and / or are pursuing a postgraduate degree.
The content of the graduate seminar assists participants to delve more deeply into the area of participation in the discourses of society. Participants begin to examine selected social phenomena pressing to the life of humanity and areas of thought and their implications for the advancement of society.
The graduate seminar is offered as a single 12-day seminar held at the Yerrinbool Baha’i Centre of Learning in New South Wales between 27 December 2026 and 7 January 2027 for all participants from Australia and the wider Pacific region.
In addition to the content of the programs, the environment of the seminars is also aligned with the aims, with personal and collective prayer as well as dignified and conscious use of the arts permeating the spirit of the seminars.
